Text

(a)All functions, duties, and responsibilities for the construction, maintenance, and repair of county roads, highways, bridges, and ferries in Lee County shall be delegated to the county engineer, who shall, insofar as possible, construct and maintain the roads, highways, bridges, and ferries for the benefit of the county as a whole or as a unit, without regard to district or beat lines.
(b)Each member of the Lee County Commission may inspect the roads in his or her district from time to time and report their condition to the county engineer.
