§ 45-40-221 — Jesse Owens Memorial Park - Board of Trustees

There is created and established a board of trustees for the Jesse Owens Memorial Park in Lawrence County, Alabama. The board shall be composed of seven members who shall be appointed by the Lawrence County legislative delegation no later than 30 days after May 29, 1985. The members shall serve for terms of six years on the board and shall be eligible for reappointment upon the expiration of their respective terms. The primary duty and responsibility of the board shall be the receipt and disbursement of all funds used for the operation and management of the Jesse Owens Memorial Park. As soon as board members have been appointed, as herein provided, the Lawrence County legislative delegation shall set the date for an organizational meeting for the board at which the board shall select from
