Text

(a)Upon receipt of a written petition signed by 60 percent or more of the business owners or authorized representatives of the businesses proposed to be subject to the benefit assessment, the city council may initiate proceedings to form a tourism improvement district by adopting a resolution expressing its intention to form a tourism improvement district.
(1)Wherever this subpart requires the signature of the business owner, the signature of the authorized representative of the business shall suffice.
(2)The city has no obligation to obtain other information as to the ownership of a business, and its determination of ownership as reflected in its records shall be conclusive for the purposes of this subpart in the absence of contrary documentation provided by the owner or authorized rep
