Text
In the event that any clause, sentence, paragraph, section, idea, or other part, portion, or provision of this subpart is held unconstitutional, such holding shall not affect the remainder of this subpart; it being hereby declared to be the intention of the Legislature that should any part or portion whatsoever of this subpart be held unconstitutional the remainder shall be in full force and effect, and that the Legislature would have passed this subpart without such invalid portion. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing it is hereby expressly declared and provided that if every provision of this subpart excepting the enacting clause and the provisions requiring contributions from the salaries of firemen and policemen and matching contributions from funds of the city to be paid
