Text

(a)Where an automated photographic or video traffic enforcement system is authorized to be used by existing law, the traffic enforcement system may be used to assist in the detection and recording of violations of this part. A traffic enforcement officer may issue notices of civil violations by mail and prosecute civil violations for the recorded or observed violations which occur within the county limits.
(b)In addition, the county commission, by resolution, may provide for a civil penalty to be assessed upon an adjudication of a violation of this part.
