Text
The term of office of the Mayor of the City of Scottsboro set to expire in 2028 and the terms of office of the members of the City Council of the City of Scottsboro set to expire in 2028 shall be extended by one additional year to expire in 2029. A successor to the office of mayor and successors to the offices of members of the city council whose terms expire in 2029 shall be elected at a general municipal election to be held on the fourth Tuesday in August 2029, and every four years thereafter.
