(a)Commencing on October 1, 1988, the Circuit Judges and District Attorney of the Twentieth Judicial Circuit shall each receive a local salary supplement from the Houston County General Fund in the amount of eight thousand dollars ($8,000) per annum, payable in equal monthly installments. Commencing on October 1, 1988, the district judges in Houston County shall each receive a local salary supplement payable in equal monthly installments calculated to preserve the ratio between total compensation paid by the state to district judges and total compensation paid by the state to circuit judges.
