(a)Subject to subsection (b), when the use of voting machines at elections in the county has been, or shall hereafter be authorized, the county governing body of the county shall have the authority to designate a voting center or voting centers in the county. The order so designating voting centers shall state the location of the voting center and the boundaries of the territory in which electors shall reside to be entitled to vote at the voting center. A copy of this order shall be posted at the courthouse door of each county to which this article applies. The limitations prescribed by law as to the number of electors who may reside in a voting district shall not apply to a territory designated hereunder.
