Text

(a)The Coroner of Franklin County shall receive an expense allowance in the amount of nine thousand seven hundred dollars ($9,700) per annum, which shall be in addition to all other expense allowances, compensation, or salary provided by law. The expense allowance shall be paid in equal monthly installments from the general fund of the county.
(b)Effective beginning the next term of office after June 1, 2024, the expense allowance provided for in subsection (a) shall be void, and the Coroner of Franklin County shall receive an annual salary of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) to be paid in equal monthly installments from the general fund of the county. The salary in this subsection shall be the total compensation paid to the coroner, subject to the adjustments provided in subsection (c). (
