Text

(a)Beginning October 1, 2025, in lieu of any other fees, compensation, or expense allowances, the Judge of Probate of Barbour County shall receive an annual salary equal to 70 percent of the salary paid to a state district court judge with equivalent years of service, including any increases in salary due to years of service or cost-of-living adjustments.
(b)The salary of the judge of probate shall be increased any time and in the same manner as the salary of a state district court judge having the same number of cumulative years of service.
(c)The salary provided by this section shall be in lieu of any and all other prior compensation or salary provided by law to the judge of probate, and shall be paid in equal periodic installments from the county general fund.
