Text

Within 60 days of May 3, 1988, the civil service board for the City of Gadsden, Alabama, shall be composed of five members. The Governor shall make such appointments as shall be necessary to bring the membership of such board up to five members. At all times, at least one board member shall be a female individual and at least one other board member shall be a black individual and they shall not be the same person. Such appointees shall serve for initial terms of three years on such board. Successor terms for such new board members and current board members shall also be for three years. All vacancies on the board shall be for the unexpired term and shall be filled by appointments made by the Governor.
