Text

(a)The Sheriff of Etowah County may contract with a private, public, or governmental entity for the purpose of service of process for any document other than a warrant for arrest.
(b)In addition to all existing charges, fees, judgments, and costs of court, the clerk, sheriff, or other appropriate court official in district and circuit courts of Etowah County shall collect a service of process fee of thirty-five dollars ($35) per case for each party requiring personal service of process by the sheriff which shall be paid into the Sheriff’s Law Enforcement Fund.
(c)The Sheriff of Etowah County may use the monies generated by this section at his or her discretion for any lawful purpose.
(d)The monies generated by this section shall not diminish or take the place of any other source of inc
