(a)Commencing with the expiration of the term of office of the Elmore County Superintendent of Education holding office on May 3, 2023, the Elmore County Board of Education shall appoint the Superintendent of Education of Elmore County pursuant to the general law of the state. The county superintendent of education shall possess all the qualifications prescribed for a county superintendent of education by the general law, shall possess all the powers granted by the general law, and shall perform and discharge all the duties of a county superintendent of education prescribed by the general law.
