§ 45-23-81 — Municipal Court Costs

(a)This shall apply only in Dale County.
(b)This section is enacted pursuant to Amendment 326 of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, and is not intended to authorize court costs greater than the total court costs authorized under existing law pursuant to Section 11-47-7.1.
(c)In lieu of any court costs and fees authorized pursuant to Section 11-47-7.1, any municipal governing body in the county, by majority vote of the municipal governing body, may levy and assess court costs and fees up to an amount so that the total court costs in the municipal court do not exceed the court costs and fees in the district court of the county for a similar case on each case hereafter filed in the municipal court of the municipality or municipalities.
