Text
(a)The circuit and district court judges for the Twenty-eighth Judicial Circuit may conduct nonjury proceedings in branch courthouses within the Twenty-eighth Judicial Circuit located in the Cities of Foley and Fairhope. This section shall not limit the authority of circuit court or district court judges to conduct nonjury proceedings if authorized by general law or by rule of the Administrative Office of Courts.
(b)(1) The presiding judge of the Twenty-eighth Judicial Circuit may issue a standing order authorizing civil or criminal jury proceedings to be conducted in any branch courthouse within the circuit.
(2)Following a standing order issued pursuant to subdivision (1), a civil jury proceeding may only be conducted in a branch courthouse following the approval of the circuit clerk an
