Text
(a)(1) As the terms of the members of the Baldwin County Board of Education expire, subsequent board members shall be elected by only those qualified electors of the county who reside outside of the corporate limits of any municipality in the county that has its own separate city school system.
(2)Nothing in this subsection shall affect the unexpired term of any member serving on the Baldwin County Board of Education on July 1, 2022.
(b)If a new city school system is established within Baldwin County, the Baldwin County Board of Education shall redraw current single member election districts pursuant to Section 16-8-1, to account for the creation of the new city school system.
