Text

(a)The Coroner of Colbert County shall be entitled to receive an additional expense allowance in the amount of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) per year to be paid in equal monthly installments out of the county general fund. This expense allowance shall be in addition to any and all other compensation, salary, and expense allowances provided for by law.
(b)Effective for the term of office beginning after the 2026 General Election, the expense allowance provided for in subsection (a) shall be void and the Coroner of Colbert County shall receive an annual salary of twenty-one thousand dollars ($21,000) to be paid in equal monthly installments from the general fund of the county. The salary in this subsection shall be the total compensation paid to the coroner, subject to the adjustments
