Text

(a)The judge of probate shall charge and collect an additional fee of eight dollars ($8) on each motor vehicle registration, transfer, or renewal in the county. The fee shall be in addition to all other fees, taxes, and other charges provided by law.
(b)The proceeds from the additional issuance fees upon collection shall be distributed on a monthly basis by the judge of probate as follows:
(1)Three dollars ($3) shall be distributed to the solicitor’s fund of the district attorney. The proceeds from the fees shall be used for law enforcement purposes and for the prosecution of crimes by the District Attorney of Coffee County.
(2)Five dollars ($5) shall be deposited in the county general fund and used for any law enforcement purpose for the operation of the Coffee County Sheriff’s office
