Text

(a)In Clarke County, in addition to any compensation paid to the coroner by law, the Clarke County Commission may pay any of the actual and necessary expenses for the operation of the office of the coroner, including paying mileage for the use of a personal motor vehicle by the coroner or a deputy coroner and providing a county vehicle for the use of the office, subject to regulation thereof by the county commission.
(b)This section is remedial and curative and shall be retroactive and apply to any payment of expenses of the coroner’s office prior to April 17, 2025. Any such actions of the county commission are ratified and confirmed.
