Text

The commission shall hold an annual meeting at the Capitol building in Montgomery, and eight members of the commission shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business. Additional meetings will be held at such times and places within the State of Alabama as may be considered necessary, desirable, or convenient upon call of the chair or, in the case of his or her absence or incapacity, of the vice-chair. However, by four-fifths vote of the commission, such meetings may be held outside the State of Alabama. The commission shall determine and establish its own organization and procedures in accordance with the provisions of this division and the general law. The commission shall elect a chair, a vice-chair, a secretary and a treasurer, and such officers shall hold office for a period
