There shall be created and established as herein provided a board to be designated and known as the Alabama Military Hall of Honor. The membership of the board shall be the Governor of the State of Alabama, who will serve as the permanent chair; the President of Marion Military Institute, who will serve as the permanent vice chair; the Adjutant General of the Alabama National Guard; the Commander of the Alabama Veterans of Foreign Wars; the Commander of the Alabama American Legion; the Commander of the Alabama Department of the Order of the Purple Heart; the Director of the Alabama Department of Archives and History; the President of the Alabama Press Association; the Command Sergeant Major of the Alabama National Guard; and the senior active duty officer on duty in Alabama and the retired
