§ 41-11-3 — Election of Members; Nominations for New Members

(a)The initial 10 members of the academy shall be elected by a committee appointed for such purpose by the Governor. New members, not to exceed 10 in any calendar year, shall be elected by the existing members of the academy. A majority of the votes cast by existing members shall be necessary for the election of each new member.
(b)Nominations for new members shall be made in writing by members of the academy and by citizens of the state.
