Text

Notwithstanding Section 40-2A-8, any appeal concerning competing ownership claims related solely to who is the proper party to have possession of the motor vehicle or manufactured home and the certificate of title to the motor vehicle or manufactured home shall be filed in circuit court. Court costs incurred by such appeal shall be prepaid by the appealing party. Any claim by an interested party for damages or for other action must be brought as a separate action as provided by law.
