Text

(a)Each law enforcement officer and all police communications officers employed by the State of Alabama, including law enforcement officers of the Department of Industrial Relations and the Department of Revenue, and including State Fire Marshals, shall be entitled to and receive in a lump sum the first pay period of December each year the sum of $300.00 per annum after said employee has total service for a period of five years and shall receive said payment until the tenth year of service, at which time the payment shall be made in a like manner and at a like time but in the amount of $400.00 per annum until the fifteenth year of service, at which time the payment shall be made in a like manner and at a like time but in the amount of $500.00 per annum until the twentieth year of service,
