§ 34-8-9 — Issuance of Building Permits

Any person, firm, or corporation, upon making application to the building inspector or such other authority of any incorporated city, town, village, or county in Alabama charged with the duty of issuing building or other permits for the construction, alteration, maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, remediation, reclamation, or demolition of any building, highway, sewer, structure site work, grading, paving or project or any improvement where the cost of the undertaking is fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) or more, shall, before he or she shall be entitled to the issuance of permits, furnish satisfactory proof to the inspector or authority that he or she is duly licensed under this chapter.
