§ 34-8-53 — Alabama Commercial Energy Code Advisory Committee - Meetings; Quorum; Subcommittees; Bylaws

(a)The first meeting of the committee shall be called by the executive director of the board as soon as practicable after January 1, 2025. The executive director of the board, or his or her designee, shall preside until a chair and a vice chair are selected by the committee. The committee shall elect annually from its own members a chair, a vice chair, and other officers as it may deem desirable.

(b)The committee shall hold a regular meeting at least once during each calendar year at a time and place designated by the board or specified by the committee. Special or additional meetings may be held upon the call of the chair, a call signed by at least seven members, or the call of the executive director of the board. (e) The committee may adopt bylaws for the conduct of the meetings, procedures, and execution of the purpose, functions, powers, and duties delegated to it by the board.
