Text
(a)No person may be admitted to an examination or licensed as a natural hair stylist unless he or she satisfies all of the following qualifications:
(1)Is at least 16 years old.
(2)Has successfully completed at least 10 grades in secondary school, or the equivalent.
(3)Has successfully completed at least 210 clock hours in a licensed or registered school of cosmetology or natural hair styling or 420 clock hours in a licensed shop for a period of six months under the immediate supervision of a licensed cosmetologist or natural hair stylist, who has held a license for at least five years, including practicing as a natural hair stylist before August 1, 2013, and as a licensed cosmetologist or a natural hair stylist before August 1, 2017.
