Text

It is the purpose of this chapter to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public by providing for the licensing and regulation of persons engaged in the practice of dietetics and nutrition. The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to hospitals doing business in Alabama as defined by Section 22-21-20(1), for a period of five years only, such exemption beginning on May 17, 1989.
