§ 34-25A-8 — Alabama State Board of Prosthetists and Orthotists

(a)Effective October 1, 2009, the existing Alabama State Board of Prosthetists and Orthotists is abolished. Notwithstanding the foregoing, members on the board serving on October 1, 2009, shall continue to serve until their successors are appointed. Effective October 1, 2009, a new Alabama State Board of Prosthetists and Orthotists is created to administer this chapter and shall be composed of nine members as provided in this section who shall be compensated at the rate of one hundred dollars ($100) per day plus travel expenses for each day they perform their duties. The board membership shall reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban and rural, and economic diversity of the state and each member of the board shall be a resident of this state.
