Text

(a)The board shall issue a license or registration to any person who meets the qualifications required by this chapter and who pays the respective fees fixed by the board.
(b)Any person who is issued a license as an orthotic, prosthetic, or prosthetic/orthotic practitioner or orthotic assistant, prosthetic assistant, or prosthetic/orthotic assistant under this chapter may use the words licensed orthotist, licensed prosthetist, licensed prosthetist/orthotist, licensed orthotist assistant, licensed prosthetist assistant, or licensed prosthetist/orthotist assistant, or the letters “L.O.,” “L.P.,” “L.P.O.,” “L.O.A.,” “LPed,” “L.P.A.,” “L.P.O.A.,” “L.M.F.,” “L.O.F.,” “C.M.F.,” “L.C.M.F,” or “L.T.S.F.” in connection with his or her name to denote his or her licensure.
