Text
Any person who shall practice podiatry in this state or hold himself or herself out to the public as a podiatrist, or who shall in any sign or advertisement use the word “podiatrist,” “foot specialist,” “foot correctionist,” “foot expert,” or “chiropodist” or any other term or terms or letters indicating that he or she is a podiatrist or that he or she practices or holds himself or herself out as practicing podiatry or foot correction, without having at the time of so doing a valid certificate of qualification as provided in this article, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined for each offense not less than $50 nor more than $500, and may be imprisoned for not less than one month nor more than three months.
