Text

(a)The board shall have the following duties:
(1)To pass upon the qualifications of applicants for licensing as physical therapists or physical therapist assistants .
(2)To conduct examinations .
(3)To issue licenses and license renewals to physical therapists and physical therapist assistants qualifying under this article .
(4)To suspend or revoke as necessary the license or compact privilege of such individuals .
(b)The board shall adopt rules not inconsistent with law as it may deem necessary for the performance of its duties , however the board shall not adopt any rules that require a physical therapist assistant to be within sight of a consulting physical therapist or a physical therapist supervisor while working under the direction of that physical therapist , or adopt any rule
