§ 34-23-53 — Training Program for Candidates for Licensure

Candidates for licensure as pharmacists shall complete a practical training program as prescribed by the board in keeping with standards established by the national accreditation agencies. The candidate shall apply to the board for proper reporting forms and shall ascertain that the preceptor under whom he or she proposes to take his or her practical training is a qualified preceptor. The candidate shall receive credit for experience gained only in an approved site under the supervision of an approved preceptor. The candidate must keep records as prescribed by the board of all professional experience gained, and upon request, must report to the board and furnish information relative to the practical experience gained.
