§ 34-13-73 — Scope of Examination

(a)The applicant for a funeral director’s license, before the application is granted, shall successfully pass an examination upon, but not limited to, the following subjects: Funeral directing; funeral service management and administration; merchandising; cremation and other forms of disposition; funeral service psychology and counseling; funeral service law and ethics; any other courses of instruction related to the American Board of Funeral Service Education curriculum; and other courses of instruction in fundamental subjects as may be prescribed by the board. The examination shall be prepared and graded as prescribed by rule of the board. The board may review and adopt, in whole or in part, examination questions, forms, examinations, and passing criteria proposed by the American Board
