Text
The commission may employ a secretary who shall not be a member of the commission and who shall be paid an annual salary set by the commission. Before entering upon the duties of office, the secretary shall execute a bond in the amount of three thousand dollars ($3,000), for the faithful performance of the duties of the office. The secretary shall safely keep and be responsible for all moneys paid into the office of the commission and for all books and papers of the commission and attend the meetings and keep a record of their proceedings and of the names of the commissioners present at the meetings. The secretary shall keep an account of all moneys received and paid, and once every three months prepare a statement showing all moneys received and paid for during the preceding three months
