THIS SECTION WAS REPEALED BY ACT 2026-18, EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2026. The State Pilotage Commission may employ a secretary, who may not be a member of the commission, and who shall be paid an annual salary set by the commission. Before entering upon the duties of office, the secretary shall execute to the State of Alabama a bond, to be approved by the Governor, in the amount of three thousand dollars ($3,000), for the faithful performance of the duties of the office. The secretary shall safely keep and be responsible for all moneys paid into the office of the commission, and for all books and papers of the commission, and attend the meetings and keep a record of their proceedings and of the names of the commissioners present at the meetings.
