Text

(a)The Alabama Medicaid Agency shall provide coverage for any noninvasive colorectal cancer screening test that is assigned a grade A or B under recommendations of the United States Preventive Services Task Force, as the recommendations of the task force may be amended from time to time. The Medicaid Agency shall also provide coverage for any colonoscopy performed based on a positive screening test result. Coverage of the tests shall include, but not be limited to, all of the following tests, provided the test maintains a grade A or B rating based on recommendations of the task force:
(1)The guaiac fecal occult blood test (gFOBT).
(2)The fecal immunochemical test (FIT).
(3)The multi-target stool DNA test (sDNA-FIT).
(b)This section shall be repealed October 1, 2027.
