§ 22-27-20 — Definitions

For the purposes of this article, unless otherwise indicated, the following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section:

(1)COUNTY. Each county in the state.

(2)MUNICIPALITY. A municipal corporation in the state.

(3)STATE. The State of Alabama.

(4)SOLID WASTES DISPOSAL ACT. Article 1 of this chapter.

(5)SOLID WASTES COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL FACILITIES. All real and personal property, including land, structures, trucks and other motor vehicles, incinerators, sanitary landfills, compost plants and other property of any kind used or useful for collection and disposal, or either, of solid wastes, as that term is defined in the Solid Wastes Disposal Act. Wherever any term defined in Section 22-27-2 of the Solid Wastes Disposal Act is used in this article, the said term shall be deemed to have the same meaning as that ascribed to it in Section 22-27-2 of the Solid Wastes Disposal Act.
