Text
(a)Under Article 1 of this chapter, the Joint Legislative Committee on Southern Leadership Goals authorized and consented to the formation of a non-profit entity, subsequently organized as The Citizenship Trust and domiciled in Shelby County, Alabama, for the purpose of, among other things, proposing to the Legislature a voluntary compact to promote citizenship education programs.
(b)The Legislature now finds that the voluntary partnership, compact, or trust should be authorized and ratified whereby public and private entities which desire to work together may do so to enhance and expand citizenship education for students. The Legislature further finds that citizenship and character education of young people in the principles of the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and other great foundatio
