(a)The first appointees shall be appointed by the fifth legislative day of the 1993 Regular Session of the Legislature and shall serve until their successors are appointed on the fifth day of the 1995 Regular Session of the Legislature. In the event of death or resignation of any member of the advisory board, a successor shall be appointed by the person or entity that made the original appointment and the successor appointed to the vacancy shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term. Subsequent appointments to the board shall be for full four-year legislative terms. The board shall elect from its membership a chair and a vice chair at an organizational meeting held no later than 30 days after appointments to the board are finalized.
