§ 11-44E-43 — Compensation; Increase or Decrease in Compensation; Bond

The compensation of all commissioners elected during the first election held under the terms of this chapter shall be the sum of $21,000.00 per annum. The fees, salary, or compensation of any commissioner whose election is authorized by this chapter shall not be increased or diminished during the term for which he (she) shall be elected, provided, however, that the commission shall have authority and power to adjust such fees, salaries, or compensation for the succeeding term. The commissioners shall each be bonded in the minimum amount of $25,000.00, and such additional amount as the commission may determine, if any. Such bond will be at the expense of the municipality.
