Text
Any committee of the commission or comprised of members of the commission shall be appointed by the mayor only. Any other committee comprised solely of noncommission members shall be appointed by the mayor and commissioners. The commission or any person or committee authorized by them, shall have power by resolution to inquire into the conduct of any office, department, agency, or officer of the city and to make investigations as to municipal affairs, and for that purpose may subpoena any person to produce books, papers, and other evidence. Failure to obey such subpoena or to produce books, papers, or other evidence as ordered under the provisions of this section shall constitute a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $100.00, or by imprisonment not to exceed 10 days
