Text

Within three months of the approval of this section, the governing body of any Class 7 municipality with a commission form of government organized pursuant to Article 1, Chapter 44, Title 11, by a majority vote of the members of that governing body, may call for a referendum to be held at public expense within 90 days after such call at which the following question shall be submitted to the voters of any such municipality: “Shall the city of _______________ adopt a mayor-council form of government with the mayor elected at large and a five-member council elected from single member districts? YES _____ NO ______”
