Text

Before entering on the duties of his office, the county treasurer must give bond as provided by law, which bond shall be in a sum not less than $15,000.00, and in counties where the population is over 150,000, it shall not be less than $50,000.00, such bond to be payable to the county and conditioned as prescribed by law and to be fixed and approved by the county commission. Said bond, after being approved shall be filed and recorded in the office of the judge of probate of such county. The county commission may in its discretion require an additional bond when any special fund is to be received by the treasurer and pay the premium therefor.
