§ 11-100-7 — Faith and Credit of State Not Pledged; Appropriations to Be Made Only from Additional State Lodging Tax Generated by Eligible Facilities

Nothing in this chapter shall be construed as authorizing the pledging of the faith and credit of the State of Alabama or any of its revenues, either for the performance of the obligations of the state under this chapter or for the payment of any bonds. Nothing herein, or in any agreement entered into pursuant to this chapter, shall be construed to require the Legislature to make any appropriation pursuant to this chapter. It is the intent of the Legislature that any appropriation made pursuant to this chapter shall only be made from additional state lodging tax generated by eligible convention facilities as provided herein and that nothing herein, or in any agreement entered into pursuant to this chapter, shall be construed to unearmark any funds currently being collected and deposited in
