Webster v. Chew's Special Bail, 3 Md. 123 (Va. Super. Ct. 1793).

Opinion

On motion of the defendant (the special bail) that all proceedings against the bail should be stayed, the court determined that an injunction to stay proceedings at law, against the principal, would tie up the hands of the plaintiff so that no proceedings could be had against the special bail.
