In Re: Larry English, applying for supervisory writs, 19th Judicial District Court, Parish of East Baton Rouge, No.

708082.

BEFORE: THERIOT, GREENE, AND EDWARDS, JJ.

STAY DENIED; WRIT GRANTED WITH ORDER IN PART AND NOT

CONSIDERED IN PART. The district court' s August 13, 2026 order which granted motions for contempt and ordered punishment for contempt and sanctions is an appealable judgment. See Capital

City Press, LLC v. Louisiana State Univ., 2013- 1994 ( La. 8/ 28/ 13), 120 So. 3d 250 ("

Insofar as relator is aggrieved by the August 14, 2013 judgment imposing sanctions for contempt, it has an adequate remedy by suspensive appeal."), citing La. Code Civ. P. art. 1915 A)( 6). Thus, as to the August 13, 2026 order, the writ

application is granted for the limited purpose of remanding this matter to the district court with instructions to grant an appeal to relator pursuant to his notice of intent to seek supervisory writs. See In Re Howard, 541 So. 2d 195 ( La. 1989) ( per curiam).

Additionally, a copy of this court' s order is to be included in the appellate record.

COURT OF APPEAL, FIRST CIRCUIT

NO. 2026 CW 1133

To the extent relator seeks any other relief, including the motion to recuse or the rule to show cause signed by the district court on July 21, 2026, this court will not consider relator' s

request for supervisory review of multiple rulings, as relator

improperly requested supervisory review of multiple judgments in a single writ application. Relator may only request supervisory review of these rulings by filing a separate writ application as to each of these rulings. See Succession of Burgo, 2019- 0612 ( La.

App. 1st Cir. 8/ 5/ 19), 2019 WL 3574213 ( unpublished).

Supplementation of this writ application and/ or an

application for rehearing will not be considered. Uniform Rules of Louisiana Courts of Appeal, Rules 4- 9 and 2- 18. 7.

In the event relator seeks to file new applications with this court, such applications must contain all pertinent documentation, and must comply with Rule 2- 12. 2, Uniform Rules of Louisiana Courts of Appeal. Any new applications must be filed on or before September 3, 2026 and must contain a copy of this ruling.
