Appeal by defendant from a judgment of the Court of Special Sessions of th.e City of New York, Borough of Brooklyn, convicting him of the crime of book-making, pool-selling, bets and wagers, in violation of section 986 of the Penal Law, and sentencing him to three months in the workhouse.
