[*1]The People of the State of New York, respondent,

v

Roberto Ventura-Delarosa, appellant.

Salvatore C. Adamo, New York, NY, for appellant.

Thomas E. Walsh II, District Attorney, New City, NY (Jacob B. Sher of counsel), for respondent.

DECISION & ORDER

Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the County Court, Rockland County (Kevin F. Russo, J.), rendered October 13, 2020, convicting him of predatory sexual assault of a child, upon his plea of guilty, and imposing sentence.

ORDERED that the judgment is affirmed.

Contrary to the defendant's contention, he was not deprived of the effective assistance of counsel (see Strickland v Washington , 466 US 688; People v Benevento , 91 NY2d 708).

The sentence imposed was not excessive (see People v Suitte , 90 AD2d 80).

CONNOLLY, J.P., IANNACCI, WOOTEN and WAN, JJ., concur.
