Opinion

Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Broome County (Smith, J.), rendered October 4, 2012, convicting defendant upon his plea of guilty of the crime of manslaughter in the first degree.

In satisfaction of a two-count indictment, defendant pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the first degree. Under the terms of the plea agreement, he was to be sentenced to 22 years in prison, to be followed by five years of postrelease supervision.
